Catcha Media Berhad is one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic media companies with an integrated strategy that incorporates publishing, online, events and e-commerce. Its publishing division; Catcha Publishing is one of the largest English language magazine publishers in Malaysia, with 14 titles in 17 editions published across three countries. Catcha Media also owns Catcha Digital, which is a partnership between Catcha Media and Microsoft Corp. The company operates all of Microsoft’s online properties in Malaysia, including the MSN portal, Windows Live Messenger and Hotmail. Other sites include Malaysia’s largest online community, Lowyat.NET and Malaysia’s No.1 Car Site, Carlist.my. With a reach of approximately 10 million people per month, Catcha Media is one of the region’s most dominant media companies.
Over the years, Patrick has built a number of media and internet-based businesses in Asia and has been independently recognised with numerous international awards such as in 2001 he was awarded as a Global Leader of Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum, in 2003 he was awarded as a New Asian Leader by the World Economic Forum, in 2004 he was awarded as a Young Entrepreneur by the Australian Chamber of Commerce, Singapore and in 2008 he was awarded as a Top Entrepreneur under 40 by Business Week Asia.
Currently, he is also the group chief executive officer and a major shareholder of Catcha Group Pte Ltd and he is also the deputy chairman of IPGA Limited.
